Sprinter legend and 8-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Monday 24th August 2020. Bolt further informed that he took the COVID-19 test on Saturday, 22nd and the results came out 2 days later with a positive result.
Usain bolt took to his Twitter handle to share a video informing the news. He said, “Good morning everybody I’m confirmed of Covid-19. I did a test on Saturday," Bolt said in a video shared on social media.
"Just to be safe, I have quarantined myself, and just to take it easy. Be safe over there. Alright, cool."

The Jamaican great also added that he is asymptomatic and has been advised home quarantine.
According to reports, Bolt’s birthday party on August 21 was attended by notable personalities like Sterling, Bayer Leverkusen forward Leon Bailey, and West Indies cricket legend Chris Gayle.
Bolt holds the world record in 100m and 200m events. He is an 11-time world champion, winning consecutive gold medals in 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay events from 2009 to 2015.
