Cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar wrote an open letter to the men of "today and tomorrow" on the occasion of International Men's Day on November 20.
In his heartfelt letter that he had shared on social media platform Instagram, the Master Blaster shared his thoughts on the the social pressures on men and why it is okay for them to cry.

"Undoubtedly, there will be times when you fail, and you will feel like crying and letting it all out", he says, adding that the the social stereotypes have made men believe that crying is a sign of weakness. "You'll hold back the tears and pretend to laugh. Because that's what men do. Because that's what we are brought up to believe - that men are not supposed to cry", he adds. Sachin writes that he too grew up believing this.

"I realised I was wrong," wrote Sachin Tendulkar, adding, "My struggles and my pain made me who I am, shaping me into a better man."
Sachin wrote the post to convey it to the men of "today and tomorrow" that it is perfectly normal for a man to cry.
The post, which was uploaded yesterday, now has over 4 lakh 'likes' on Instagram, and the master-blaster has been lauded for his frankness in dealing with such a sensitive topic.
