Guwahati, January 2, 2020:

Sri Lankan cricket team has arrived at Guwahati on Thursday at around 4 pm for the first T-20 (I) India-Sri Lanka match to be held in Guwahati's ACA stadium in Barsapara on January 5. The sale of tickets for the game is available online.

The Islanders last played in Guwahati in 1997.

Veteran pacer Lasith Malinga has been named captain of the Sri Lankan team. The Sri Lanka squad consists Lasith Malinga (captain), Danushka Gunathilaka, Avishka Fernando, Angelo Mathews, Dasun Shanaka, Kusal Perera, Niroshan Dickwella, Dhananjaya de Silva, Isuru Udana, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Oshada Fernando, Wanindu Hasaranga, Lahiru Kumara, Kusal Mendis, Lakshan Sandakan and Kasun Rajitha.

Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team will be arriving on Friday morning. The players will be assembling here in the city. Only batting coach of Team India, Vikram Rathore, will land in Guwahati tomorrow.

Both the teams undertake their first training session in Guwahati on Friday.
