Guwahati, July 7, 2019:

Indian skipper Virat Kohli has made a truly great gesture towards his most adoring fan, the 87-year-old Charulata Patel who recently went viral for her enthusiastic support for the 'Men in Blue'.

Images of the 'superfan' Charulata started going viral when cameras caught her blowing a horn during India's match against Bangladesh, and subsequently, the Indian skipper, Kohli, and 'Hitman' Rohit Sharma, met the enthusiastic supporter and had a chat with her.

Now, the Indian Skipper has ensured that she is present in the remaining matches of the Indian cricket team, by gifting her with tickers for the remaining games, including the semi-final and a possible final at Lord's if the Men in Blue make it to Lord's on 14th July!

Kohli also wrote a sweet letter thanking the supporter for the presence. "Dear Charulata ji, It is so inspiring to see your love and passion for our team and I hope you enjoy the games with your family. Lots of love and regards, Virat," wrote Kohli.

After winning the match against Bangladesh by 28 runs, Kohli had taken to Twitter. Alongside pictures, he wrote the words: "Also would like to thank all our fans for all the love & support & especially Charulata Patel ji. She's 87 and probably one of the most passionate & dedicated fans I've ever seen. Age is just a number, passion takes you leaps & bounds. With her blessings, on to the next one", he said.

India will play New Zealand in the semis on on July 9.
