Olympic medallist boxer Mary Kom is considering a return to professional boxing. The Indian boxer, known for her achievements in the sport, is contemplating a comeback to the ring.
Speaking at the Army Sports Conclave, Mary Kom expressed her disappointment over the lack of medals for India in the Paris Olympics. She urged the boxers to put in more effort and called on the federation to address the shortcomings.
Mary Kom also revealed her plans to make a comeback, stating that she would try to return to professional boxing.

Olympic medallist boxer Mary Kom said, "I feel very bad because we could not win any medal (in the Paris Olympics). I urge the boxers to work harder and the federation should focus on the shortcomings... The Army Sports Conclave was a very good event... I feel very happy after participating in such events which aim to promote sports.”
She further says, "I am planning to make a comeback...I will try to make a comeback in pro-boxing..."
Earlier in July, Gagan Narang, four-time Olympian and 2012 Olympic Games men's 10m Air Rifle bronze medalist, replaced MC Mary Kom as the Chef-de-Mission of the Indian contingent to competing in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
