GUWAHATI: As many as five Dimasa organisations of Dima Hasao condemned the Diyungmukh (Rangerbill)  incident where five persons were brutally killed and burned down five goods-laden trucks by the Dimasa National Liberation Front (DNLA) militant organization.

The incident occurred in the hill district's Diyungmukh ranger bill area last week, which is under the jurisdiction of the Diyungmukh police station.

According to reports, the suspected militants began shooting at five trucks before torching them. The trucks were leaving Umrangso and heading to Lanka.

The Jadikhe Naiso Hosom JNH (Dimasa Apex body), Dimasa Mothers Association DMA, Dimasa Jalai Hosom (DJH) (Social organization by Ex. DHD group), All Dimasa Student Union ADSU, and Dimasa Student Union DSU held a joint press meet at JNH office today.

The five organizations jointly appeal to the militant organisation as well as the Government of India and the Government of Assam to resolve the issues by sitting for tall.

They stated that through the use of arms, not a single solution will be found, nor will any demand be met.

They urged the militant organisations to engage in talks with the government, as well as requested and appealed to the government to bring them into the mainstream and resolve the issues through talks.
