It may be noted that in 2020, the Prime Minister's Office directed director Intelligence Bureau Arvind Kumar and special director AK Mishra to get the NSCN (I-M) back on track after talks between the NSCN (I-M) and Ravi came to a halt.
According to NagalandPost report, despite the fact that talks between IB officials and the NSCN (I-M) have been ongoing for over a year, Ravi, as the interlocutor, has declared that all official talks with the Naga groups must end by October 31, 2019.
Therefore, the Centre is unlikely to appoint another interlocutor in this regard.
