Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Monday informed that a case has been registered on the YouTuber who mocked an Arunachal MLA as well as the state in a video.
Taking to social media, Khandu informed that the state police department has registered the case against the YouTuber identified as Mr. Paras u/s 124A/ 153A/ 505(2) IPC.
The CM further informed that the social media account of the person is being thoroughly investigated for details about his activities. Technical resources are also being employed to gather YouTuber’s current whereabouts, added the Chief Minister.
Earlier Deputy Chief Minister of the state Chowna Mein condemned the YouTuber for his racist slurs.
Commenting on the incident Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma said, "Ignorance is not an excuse. NE stand united & condemn comments by Mr Paras Singh. We stand in solidarity with Arunachal. NE is an integral part of India & Arunachal’s patriotism is a testament to it. Racist insinuations by Paras to the people of Arunachal must be taken to task."
In the video, the YouTube can be seen making fun of an MLA from Arunachal Pradesh based on his looks and name. The YouTuber even said that the people of Arunachal do not look like ‘Indian’.
Continuing his troll, the YouTuber even question the existence of the state within India.
