GOC Spear Corps Call on Tripura Governor; Reviews Security Scene of the State

AGARTALA: General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Spear Corps Lt Gen Rana Pratap Kalita today called on Governor of Tripura Ramesh Bais at Raj Bhavan here.

They discussed the prevailing security situation and assured full support of the Army and Assam Rifles in maintaining peace and tranquility in the state.

The GOC arrived here today on a two-day visit to review the security situation in the state.

On his arrival, he was briefed by senior Army officers and Assam Rifles commanders on operational aspects and preparedness within the state, including preparedness for handling any natural calamity or internal security issue.
