A recent report released by the National Election Watch (State Unit) stated that Nearly half of Tripura's legislators did not raise any question during the current Assembly session. In the 60-member Tripura assembly, 26 MLAs did not raise any question in the 11th Assembly of 2017-18. The report stated that among the 60 elected members only few performed in the session. Only four MLAs from the CPI-M attended all the sessions. Pranab Debbarma, Keshab Debbarma, Raj Kumar Choudhury and Lalit Kumar Debbarma from the CPI-M were the ones, the report said. The survey conducted by 'Tripura Election Watch (TEW)' said that the legislators raised 4,032 questions during the sessions. Former Congress MLA Ratan Lal Nath who joined BJP last month asked the most number of questions.

During the 11th Assembly, MLAs sat only for 73 days. This was 5 days less compared to the 10th Assembly. On an average, Tripura MLAs attended 58 days of the Assembly. According to the report, 45 Bills were passed during the 11th Assembly, compared to 34 in the preceding one.
