Agartala, October 11, 2019:

PhD, M-tech, MCA, BCA, MBA and B-tech degree holders sat in the recently-held examination for Gram Rojgar Sevak (GRS) in Tripura.

However, people with academic qualification like as Phd, M-tech, MCA, BCA, MBA and B-tech, MA also applied for those posts. They not only applied but also sat in the examination.

He has also claimed that under the new BJP regime, 5 lakh youths got employment opportunities, or started their own jobs.

The state government had recently put out advertisements for recruitment to 1962 posts of Gram Rojgar Sevak (GRS). More than fifty thousand unemployed youths had applied for these posts and among them Phd, M-tech, MCA, BCA, MBA and B-tech degree holders, also applied.

The GRS posts are equivalents of grade-IV employees in the state government, and the service is purely temporary with no guarantee of regularization or higher pay and facilities.

CPI(M) leader Pabitra Kar told that, before the assembly election, the BJP promised to the people of the state to give employment opportunity to every household.

But now, like PhD M-Tech degree holders are applying for the job of class IV post, he added. Pabitra Kar said, this is shameful for a government.

Sources from Rural Development Department told that more than one thousand youths with high-level degrees had applied for the posts.
