Six out of 15 patients of Modern Psychiatric Hospital, located at Narasingarh near Agartala Airport, Tripura who fled the hospital evading the high-security cover, have still been untraced.

Nine of them have returned to the hospital, Tripura. All the patients had escaped the hospital in the wee hours of August 9th, 2020.

Police have registered a missing dairy and continuing its effort to trace the missing patients.

All the 15 patients reportedly broke window grills of the lavatory and slipped out with impunity. Later, the hospital authority informed the matter to the police. After a daylong search, police traced out seven inmates nearby areas and handed over them to the hospital authority.

The incident raised questions of security management in the hospital.
