Tripura: 48 more test positive for COVID-19; tally soars to 692

Tripura crossed the 600-mark, as another 48 people tested positive for COVID-19 in the state on Friday. Out of a total of 1026 samples that were tested for COVID-19, 48 people have tested positive. The state now has a total of 692 cases.

All of them have travel history, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb informed this development through Tweeted, “All of them have travel history. Stay safe, follow the Gov't norms.

India has crossed 2 lakh-mark in terms of corona positives on June 3rd. On June 6th, the country currently has 237000+ confirmed COVID-19 cases, 115942 active cases with 114072 cured and discharged. The total number of deaths is 6642

Among the states, Maharashtra is the first state to cross 2 thousand deaths. It has recorded 80229 corona cases with 35156 cured, 2849 deaths, and 42224 active cases. The western state is followed by Delhi and Tamil Nadu. Delhi has corona 26334 cases with 10315 cured, 708 deaths, and 15311 active cases. Tamil Nadu has 28694 positive cases with 15762 cured, 232 deaths 12700 active cases. Gujarat with 19094 COVID-19 cases, so far, has 13003 have been cured, 1190 deaths, and 4901 active cases.

India now has 6th in most cases in the world and has surpassed Germany. So far, the USA has the highest number of COVID-19 cases in 1,965,708 cases.

Global coronavirus cases have surpassed 6,850,612 cases, with Latin America overtaking the United States and Europe in the past week to report the largest portion of new daily cases globally. It represents a new phase in the virus’ spread, which initially peaked in China in February before large-scale outbreaks followed in Europe and the United States.
