Tripura crossed the 500-mark, as another 49 people tested positive for COVID-19 in the state on Wednesday, a day after 48 others tested positive for the coronavirus.Out of a total of 821 samples that were tested for COVID-19, 49 people have tested positive.
Most of them have travel history and contacts of previous positive patients. Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb informed this development through tweeter, “Out of 821 samples tested today, 49 people found COVID-19 #POSITIVE. Most of them have travel history and contact's. #TripuraCOVID19Count”.
Assam has the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases followed by Tripura.

As of June 3rd, India has crossed 2 lakh-mark in terms of corona positives. The country currently has 207615 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 101497 active cases with 100303 cured and discharged. The total number of deaths is 5815.

Among the states, Maharashtra is the first state to cross 2 thousand deaths. It has recorded 72300 corona cases with 31333 cured, 2465 deaths and 38502 active cases. The western state is followed by Delhi and Tamil Nadu. Delhi has corona 22132 cases with 9243 cured, 556 deaths, and 12333 active cases. Tamil Nadu has 24586 positive cases with 13706 cured, 197 deaths 10683 active cases. Gujarat with 17617 COVID-19 cases, so far, has 11894 have been cured, 1092 deaths, and 4631 active cases.
India has surpassed China’s official figure of 82,933 confirmed coronavirus cases. India now has 7th in most cases in the world and has surpassed Germany. So far, the USA has the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 18,81,205 cases.
Global coronavirus cases have surpassed 64,52,391 cases, with Latin America overtaking the United States and Europe in the past week to report the largest portion of new daily cases globally. It represents a new phase in the virus’ spread, which initially peaked in China in February before large-scale outbreaks followed in Europe and the United States.
