TRIPURA CPI(M) CANDIDATE KHAGENDRA JAMATIA PASSES AWAY

Guwahati, March 2, 2018:

CPI(M) candidate for Krishnapur and Tripura Fisheries Minister Khagendra Jamatia passes away at the age of 64.

He was admitted at the AIIMS in New Delhi after his health deteriorated during the last leg of his campaign.

Khagendra Jamatia joined the CPI(M) in 1983 and had never faced a defeat in any election. He had won from Krishnapur constituency six times since 1988.
