TRIPURA GOVERNMENT MAKES PUBLIC MEETING FOR OFFICERS MANDATORY

After Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb’s Janadarbar thrice in a week, new government in Tripura has reiterated the direction of the previous government for the officials to meet common people at least once in a week and take steps to address the grievances. In a notification General Administration department has asked all officers, from district magistrates to block development officers, to notify a day in every week when common people can meet the officers without appointment and raise their grievances and issues.

“The offices should have fixed timings to address Public Grievances and should be done at least once in a week and the day of the week fixed for meeting has to be given proper publicity for benefit of the common people. Further, all concerned should comply with the instructions and send action taken report to the department by first week of every month,” the notification stated.
