Though, LJP is a member of NDA, in Tripura LJP leaders seemed reluctant to tie up any alliance with the ruling parties if the senior partners show less interest.
“I have personally written to BJP state President Manik Saha and IPFT Supremo NC Debbarma to forge a pre-poll alliance ahead of the ADC and Agartala Municipal Corporation polls. We will sit together very soon to finalize the term and conditions. But, if the talks come in full circle and we are once again refused by the ruling parties, we will surely fight the polls on our own”, Rupam claimed.
