Tripura: Regular classes to resume for classes 10 and 12 from Dec 1

AGARTALA: After a thorough review of the COVID-19 situation, the Tripura government has decided to reopen schools for classes 10 and 12 along with the colleges from December 1 in order to "regularize the academic activities amid the pandemic."

According to reports, the classes would resume with proper guidelines to avoid any chance of risking the pandemic including mandatory thermal screening of all students, teachers and other staff, sanitization and compulsory use of face mask,s and social distancing.

The practical classes would resume in college from next month as stated by the state government.

Earlier, on October 5, Tripura reintroduced the open-air classes after the government announced to reopen schools from 9-12 for students who voluntarily wanted to attend classes.

The Education department in the state launched online classes; video lectures on local TV channels, Students’ helpline call centre,s and SMS-based classes for the students.
