As the entire India engages in the celebration of the ‘Road Safety Week’, Tripura joins in too.It was found that the traffic lights, which forms a pivotal part of road safety was non functional.These traffic lights were first introduced by the previous Left Government under the then Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on the eve of election. Earlier also the signals became weak or dead many times after its inauguration.

Chief Minister Biplab Deb has claimed to put traffic signals in each corners of the street and also slammed the previous government for not developing the traffic signals in each corner of the state after being a GPS area now.
