The Border Security Force (BSF) detained two Indian touts and one Bangladeshi national in the Maharajganja Bazar area under Khowai District of Tripura on Wednesday, October 30.
Speaking on the matter, Khowai Police Station Officer-in-Charge Subir Malakar stated that the BSF had detained three individuals, including two Indian touts and one Bangladeshi national.
"The arrested individuals have been identified as Neel Das, 34, a resident of Bela Nagar village, Narsingdi district, Bangladesh; Suprabhat Das, 24; and Motib Mia, 45, both residents of Karimganj, Assam," said the OC.
The OC further noted that, during preliminary interrogation, it was revealed that the two Indian touts were assisting the Bangladeshi national in crossing the border into a neighboring country.
