Assam: National Press Day organised at Digboi Press Club

MARGHERITA: National Press Day was organised by the Tinsukia District Journalist Association in collaboration with the Digboi Press Club and Margherita Sub- Divisional Administration at Digboi Press Club.
Palash Rajkumar Ahom ADC (i/c) Margherita was the guest of honour where Anuj Kalita President of Tinsukia District Journalist Association presided over the event.
The event started with lighting of the ceremonial lamp and hoisting flags of Tinsukia Journalists Association by Rana Jyoti Neog General Secretary Tinsukia District Journalists Association and Manaronjan Das General Secretary of Digboi Press Club.
The central key theme of the event this year was "Who is not afraid of media?". Palash Rajkumar Ahom ADC(i/c) Margherita spoke on the event along with many Senior Journalists who addressed the guest.
Total 100 Journalists from 7 Press Club under Tinsukia District Journalists Association were felicitated in the event for their contribution to media.Cultural programs such as Borgeet and Sattriya dance was also presented.
The event ended on a positive note with vote of thanks from the Manoranjan Das General Secretary of Digboi Press Club.
