BREAKING | 157 dead in Ethiopian Airlines crash

Guwahati, March 10, 2019:

A tragedy has occurred in Ethiopia as all 157 people on board were killed in a plane crash en route to Nairobi. Of the 157 people who were killed, 149 were passengers while eight were crew members.

The Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 crashed en route from Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa to Kenyan capital Nairobi. The plane took off at 8:38 am from Bole International Airport and ‘lost contact’ about six minutes later. The incident has been confirmed by Ethiopian Airlines in an official statement. “Ethiopian Airlines regrets to confirm that its flight ET 302/10 March in schedule service from Addis Ababa to Nairobi was involved in an accident today around Bishoftu (Debre Zeit)”, the statement read.

The Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed, has expressed his condolences on Twitter.
