Shocking reports are coming in from Sri Lankan capital Colombo. As per reports, six serial blasts have rocked the capital of the island nation on Easter Sunday. Six back-to-back blasts occurred at churches and hotels, including the Shangri-La hotel, occurred in the morning.
Three Churches and three high-end hotels were hit in quick succession which has led to chaos and mayhem in the island nation.
The death toll continues to rise at this point of time and Sri Lankan officials have confirmed that at least 100 people have been killed and five hundred are injured. It is believed that many foreign tourists are among those who were killed in the attacks.
It is believed that the blasts are the handiwork of terrorists. This is the greatest act of terror after the New Zealand mosque attack during which a terrorist gunned down devotees in New Zealand mosques.
