Former Kokrajhar MP Charan Narzary hospitalized

Kokrajhar, May 12, 2019:

Former member of Parliament from Kokrajhar Lok Sabha Constituency, Charan Narzary (86), has been hospitalized following an accident. Narzary, a noted academician, was also a former Principal of Kokrajhar Government College and the founder general secretary of Plains Tribals Council of Assam (PTCA).

Narzary was rushed to the hospital when he fell down on the floor of his residence on Saturday. Doctors have said that he has sustained a fracture sever injuries to his legs.

Meanwhile, United People's Party Liberal leader and Kokrajhar candidate Urkhao Gwra Brahma paid a visit to the former MP to wish him a speedy recovery.

Narzary was elected to the Lower House in 1977 as an independent candidate. He was born at Moider-Khoro (Hatimatha) Village in Goalpara District in 1933. He completed his education at Cotton College and Gauhati University, respectively.
