Manipur: Wildfire at Eastern side of Dzoukou Valley reportedly brought under control

Imphal: The wildfire at the eastern side of the Dzoukou Valley has been brought under control, reports said.

"It’s a matter of great relief that our brave Fire Brigade personnel along with some local volunteers have brought the wildfire at eastern side spreading from Mount Khungho towards Mao under control", a source informed us.

Unfortunately, the wildfire at the southern side is yet to be brought under control.

The Central government has deployed the NDRF personnel at the site now.

Further, two helicopters are also likely to be deployed from tomorrow.
