Tura Lok Sabha candidate Agatha Sangma, who is contesting from the Tura Lok Sabha seat, has cast her vote for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections in the state.
Sangma cast her vote from Agatha Sangma cast her vote at the Walbakgre polling station under the Tura Lok Sabha Constituency.
Meanwhile, her brother, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, has continued to lend her moral support ahead of the high-profile electoral battle between Agatha and former Chief Minister Mukul Sangma from Congress.
Meanwhile, Home Minister James K Sangma and his wife cast their vote at Dadenggre Polling Station.

Addressing the media at the polling station, Conrad said: “It is a positive day. It has been a good contest in Tura. We have worked very hard and the opposition too has worked hard. Now it is up to the voters to decide. I appeal to people to come out in large numbers to exercise their power to vote.”
It may be mentioned that Agatha Sangma is a former Union Minister and former MP from the Tura Constituency.
