Congress President Rahul Gandhi launched into a tirade against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a speech delivered at Itanagar on Tuesday and lambasted the Prime Minister for his alleged roles in corruption scams in the country. Rahul also jokingly asked why all the “thieves” in the country – Nirav Modi, Lalit Modi, and Narendra Modi - all have the surname ‘Modi’.
Rahul also admonished the BJP leader for his ‘chowkidar’ gimmick. “Earlier, he used to say he only wants to be a ‘chowkidar’ (watchman). Then, the watchman stole everything and now he says everyone is a watchman. But, the fact is, the thievery was committed by Modi. Why is he now saying that everyone is a watchman and getting all his followers to partake in his sins?"
“The ‘chowkidar’ distributed Rs. 3,50,000 crores among fifteen of his close allies, but at the same time says that he wants to help poor farmers of the country. Everything in India is being given to 15-20 rich industrialists. The 'chowkidar' Modi is looting everything wholesale”, Rahul Gandhi alleged.
