Marking the new year with a fresh and new beginning, the Jongpha Unit of the Rengma Naga Students' Union organised a cleanliness drive on January 6 at Jongpha which falls under the Nilip Constituency in Karbi Anglong district of Assam.

The cleanliness drive was kicked off by Jokhen Seb Rengma. Speaking during the event, Mr Rengma appreciated the student body and referring to the quotation "Health is wealth", he urged the public to understand the importance of keeping the environment clean.
The student body also installed wastebins in different parts of the village. Ketinga Se (Gaon Burha, Jongpha), and Solo Kent (Pastor, Jongpha Baptist Church) were also present during the cleanliness drive.
