The Arunachal Pradesh government is all set to host the annual ‘International Tribal Film Festival’ in January next year incorporation with the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) which annually organizes the globally recognized International Film Festival of India (IFFI).

According to reports, a MoU was signed with the Arunachal Pradesh Government to organize an ‘International Tribal Film Festival’ at Itanagar.

On the occasion Chief Minister Prema Khandu said, “We are aware of the boost the IFFI has given Goa to emerge as an international tourist destination as well as an entertainment nerve-centre of the country. We expect the same from the proposed film festival for our State.”
Khandu asserted that visits by film and media personalities from across the globe to the tribal film festival would open up gates for film shooting in the State which would encourage local youths and artistes to explore the film and media industry.
