Kiren Rijiju pays Emotional Tribute to Father on Facebook

Itanagar, May 29, 2019:

Firebrand Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) politician Kiren Rijiju has paid a heartfelt tribute to his father, Rinchin Kharu, on social media platform Facebook.

Kijiju, buoyant after the BJP's sweep of the Arunachal polls, took to Facebook to share a few thoughts about his father and also shared a picture of father and son side-by-side with exuberant and triumphant smiles on their faces.

Rijiju wrote that his father blessed him and despite being in poor health, has maintained high spirits. Then, Rijiju goes on to give the political background of his father. "He was Pradesh Council Member during NEFA days and on 15 August 1975, converted as MLA in the Provisional Legislative Assembly. He was the Pro-Term Speaker who administered oath to the newly elected MLAs in the first Elected Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh in 1978", he writes.

Rijiju further states that he is proud of his dad because of his unblemished morality and further adds that his father is an 'institution' and his traditional knowledge is plenteous. Praising his father's generosity, Rijiju states that he has only served, but never taken anything from others. "He never earned money from Govt source(s) and not built house or property outside of his ancestral place not even at his own MLA Constituency headquarter Bomdila", Rijiju says.

In the emotional post, Kiren Rijiju resolves to never go against his father's principles in my life. "People tell me that as a local MP I must have a house at Itanagar and other places but for me building houses and assets in people's heart is more valuable", the re-elected MP says.

Irrespective of politics, I think we can all agree that Kiren Rijiju's respect and love for his father is indeed exemplary.
