SHILLONG: Union Home Minister Amit Shah today will meet the Chief Ministers, Chief Secretaries and the Directors General of Police (DGPs) of the eight northeastern states in Shillong today as part of his two-day visit to Northeast.
During the meetings, he will discuss issues pertaining to inter-state boundary disputes along with the COVID situation.
Shah will also have talks with Director-General of the Assam Rifles and Jawans in Shillong. He will launch the Greater Sohra Water Supply Scheme in Meghalaya.

On Sunday, the Home Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the Radio Therapy Block and a new Linear Accelerator (LINAC) machine at the State Cancer Institute at the GMCH.
Cheques of Rs one lakh each to family members of COVID victims will be handed over by the Home Minister.
He is also scheduled to pay a visit at the iconic Kamakhya temple in Guwahati.
Before leaving for Delhi, Shah will also lay the foundation stone of the Tamulpur Medical College and Hospital virtually from Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra.
A four-member delegation from the Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura (IPFT), a BJP ally, met with Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Thursday, demanding a separate Tipraland, which constitutes two-third of the state territory. Read more.
