Arunachal deputy CM unveils ambitious growth agenda for 2025

Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein has prioritised women and youth empowerment as key drivers for the state's development in 2025, marking a significant shift in policy focus.

"Women and youth empowerment will remain at the core of our policies and programmes as we work together to build a progressive Arunachal," Mein said during his New Year address to the state.

The announcement comes as part of the state's broader 'Viksit Arunachal' initiative, which aims to transform the northeastern state through sustainable development measures. The comprehensive plan targets major reforms in education, healthcare, agriculture, and tourism sectors.

Mein called for active citizen participation in the state's development agenda. "Together, we can make 2025 a landmark year for Arunachal," he said, emphasising the need for collaborative effort in achieving the state's development goals.

The development strategy aligns with Arunachal Pradesh's push to emerge as a model state in India's northeastern region, focusing on balanced growth across all sectors while maintaining its unique cultural identity.
