Arunachal: Despite Congress nomination, Takam Pario joins BJP, backs Balo Raja

In Arunachal Pradesh, Takam Pario, a leader who previously held allegiance to the Congress party, officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Pario, accompanied by his team, announced his decision to lend support to incumbent BJP MLA Balo Raja, marking another setback for the Congress in the region.

Takam Pariovwas slated to contest from the Palin assembly constituency of the Kra Daadi district under the Congress banner. 

Takam Pario's entry into the BJP fold is seen as a significant development, given his familial ties to Takam Sanjoy, a former Member of Parliament from Arunachal West representing the Congress party.
