Tawang in Arunachal bore witness to the season's inaugural snowfall, invoking delight among the tourists while presenting challenges to the local inhabitants.
Tawang, a coveted tourist destination located along the Indian-China border, experiences an annual embrace of snowfall. As the sun made its retreat, the mercury in Tawang plummeted to sub-zero on October 15, registering a bone-chilling temperature of -2°C. This contrasted starkly with the milder climate in the state capital of Itanagar, where the temperature was a comfortable 26°C.
Tourists, who had eagerly journeyed to Tawang and ventured further to the mystical Bum-La Pass, were treated to the season's maiden snowfall. Nature's blessings enveloped the entire region in a pristine white blanket, painting a picturesque panorama.
