Arunachal man goes on killing spree in Seppa hospital, two dead, several injured after machete attack

A 60-year-old man attacked several people with a machete inside the district hospital in Arunachal Pradesh on November 14.

 

The accused identified as Nikam Sangbia, attacked and injured over 10 people during which one female and one male died. 

 

The officer-in-charge of Seppa Police Station reached the hospital with a team and managed to subdue the attacker. The police personnel sustained minor injuries while trying to subdue the attacker. The atmosphere of fear and panic caused patients to flee the hospital in distress.

 

Superintendent of Police Kamdam Sikom speaking to the media stated that this incident occurred among relatives where the man attacked 10 persons randomly inside the hospital premises who is detained by the police.

Out of 10 injured two lost their lives which include a women and a man. "This is a horrific crime and accused will get the maximum tough punishment. Three injured got referred to TRIHMS hospital Naharlagun and others are getting treatment here. This hospital is very near to our police station and we do regular patrolling during interval of times unfortunately during the incident our morning patrolling was just over"

 

All those injured, including the police officer, have been moved to the emergency ward for urgent medical attention. The hospital and surrounding area remain tense as authorities work to restore order and investigate the motive behind the assault.
