Eighteen police officers advanced in rank during a ceremony at the Itanagar Police Station Conference Hall on January 2, strengthening the leadership structure of the local force.
The promotions spanned multiple ranks, elevating two officers to Sub-Inspector positions, six to Assistant Sub-Inspector roles, and ten to Head Constable status.
"These promotions reflect years of dedicated service and exceptional performance in maintaining law and order," said Kengo Dirchi during the rank-pipping ceremony.
The advancement of multiple officers simultaneously signals a significant boost to the police force's operational capability in the region. Each promoted officer has demonstrated consistent performance in their previous roles, according to department officials.
The newly promoted officers will assume their enhanced responsibilities immediately, taking on greater leadership roles within their respective units.
