Arunachal: Road block disrupts life in Yapak; villagers seek immediate resolution

A significant roadblock has emerged at Yapak Bogu, close to the Yapak Bogu Hotel, causing major disruptions for the local community. The roadblock, which has also affected the area near the Koloriang headquarters of the Kurung Kumey district, has left residents and travelers in a state of inconvenience.

Yapak, a village located near Koloriang in the Kurung Kumey district, is home to the Bengia clan of the Nyishi tribe. The village, led by Headman Bengia Chanang, relies heavily on the Payu River, which is considered a divine blessing from the sun god by the villagers. The river not only supports the community's daily needs but also plays a crucial role in their cultural and spiritual life.
