Arunachal: Unexploded WWII bombs found near Paro village

Two unexploded bombs, suspected to be from World War II, were discovered by a villager near Murtem Koro in Paro village, Dollungmukh Circle. The site is in proximity to the Indian Air Force (IAF) firing range.

The bombs, measuring 100 kg and 500 kg, were reported to local police, administration, and IAF authorities immediately upon discovery. Superintendent of Police (SP) Kamle Kardak Riba and his team arrived at the scene. The area has been cordoned off and sealed to ensure safety, with strict restrictions in place to prevent villagers from approaching the site.

SP Kamle conducted a meeting with Gaon Burahs and Gram Panchayat members to raise awareness about the situation and potential risks. The IAF and district administration are collaborating on the safe defusion or detonation of the bombs to avoid any hazards or misuse.
