BJP's Ninong Ering sworn-in as Pro-tem Speaker of Arunachal assembly

Ninong Ering, a senior member of the 8th State Legislative Assembly, was officially sworn in as the Pro tem Speaker of the 8th Arunachal Pradesh State Legislative Assembly on June 13, 2024, at the Vivekananda Hall, Raj Bhavan, Itanagar.

The oath was administered by the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Lt. General KT Parnaik, PVSM, UYSM, YSM (Retd.). As Pro tem Speaker, Shri Ering will hold office until a permanent Speaker is elected by the Assembly. His responsibilities include administering the oaths of office to the newly-elected legislators when the House convenes.

The ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Shri Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Chowna Mein, and various Cabinet Ministers, among others.
