Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has stated that the alliance between the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) and BJP remains normal and strong.
Rio mentioned that a joint statement has already been given affirming the stability of their partnership.
The NDPP-BJP alliance in Nagaland is intact, according to a statement released by both parties on Monday. This statement follows reports of growing differences between the parties after the recent Lok Sabha elections.
To dispel speculations of infighting within the PDA coalition, the NDPP and BJP issued a joint statement reaffirming their strong alliance and commitment to serving the people of the state.
The joint statement signed by Ministers K.G. Kenye and Temjen Imna Along clarified that the alliance remains strong despite the loss of their joint candidate in the Lok Sabha elections.

The coalition accepted the people’s mandate with humility and respect. The statement read, 'The NDPP-BJP PDA coalition is issuing this joint statement to provide accurate information on the alliance and the unity of the PDA. There has been much misinformation and speculation on the PDA; therefore, it is necessary to issue this clarification.
The alliance between the NDPP and the BJP is as strong as ever, and the PDA Government is functioning smoothly. The alliance contested the Lok Sabha elections with a joint PDA candidate, but our candidate lost the elections. We have accepted the results with humility and respect towards the mandate of the people. This was followed by the elections to the ULBs across all urban towns except in the eastern region.'
The NDPP and BJP contested the ULB elections with local understanding and friendly contests in certain areas.
However, the coalition assured that this did not impact their teamwork and commitment to serving the people of Nagaland. Both parties maintained that they will work collectively for the larger good of the people, stating, 'The positive spirit of the alliance will continue to be upheld even in the formation of the ULBs across the state with an inclusive approach. Both parties will work collectively with team spirit and unity. We are more motivated and encouraged to make more dedicated efforts towards serving the people of Nagaland in an inclusive and just manner. We appeal to all sections to strengthen unity and oneness as we remain committed to serving every citizen of Nagaland.'
The joint statement also expressed gratitude to the electorate for their overwhelming support in the recent Urban Local Bodies elections.
