A joint foot march rally was organized on November 1 by Arunachal Bachao Andolan Committee (ABAC), the pro-dam movement of Arunachal Pradesh, All capital complex youth welfare association (ACCYWA), Arunachal Nari Sakti, starting from Naharlagun to tennis court.
The rally was organized demanding the group’s charter of demands which includes free electricity supply in every house of the state, immediate arrest of Akhilesh Pratap Singh, and immediate installation of CBI and ED which charter 10 points demand by the AAC team.
The protesters were seen sloganeering “arrest Akhilesh Pratap Singh”, and “AAC ko Justice Do” while one of the protesters while speaking to the media said that the foot march rally was not taken out to hurt anyone’s sentiments but the rally is being carried out to set an example for the next generation.
“Anyone wishing to join the rally does so. The rally will not head towards the Tennis court on foot. Rest we have no issues with any of the political leaders. But we are only sticking to three of our primary demands which include free electricity supply in every household in Arunachal Pradesh, the immediate arrest of Akhilesh Pratap Singh. If Akhilesh is not arrested, it will prove that CM Pema Khandu is anti-Arunachal. Because, the sentiments that hurt one mother, one daughter, and every single Arunachalee, need to be addressed. Thirdly, we demand the immediate installation of CBI, ED with charter point 10 demand by Arunachal Against Corruption (AAC).”
Akhilesh Pratap Singh is a person hailing from Lucknow who had disrupted the Arunachal Against Corruption (AAC) foot march rally to Delhi. A video had gone viral on social media where Akhilesh was seen threatening the AAC team, thus disrupting their foot march rally to Delhi.
An FIR was filed against Akhilesh Pratap Singh at Itanagar wherein the members of the AAC demanded his immediate arrest for using slang words with the intention of undermining the people of Arunachal Pradesh.
