The Kohra Convention Centre in Kaziranga hosted the inauguration of the NE Bazaar exhibition as part of a major tourism event. The exhibition was visited by dignitaries including Secretary of Ministry of Tourism V Vidyavathi, Minister of State for Tourism Suresh Gopi, Union Minister of Ports Sarbananda Sonowal, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Union Minister of Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

<p>With 28 Swiss tourists on board, the "Ganga Vilas," the longest river cruise in the world, arrived in Guwahati on Monday, 42 days after setting off from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.&nbsp;</p>


<p>The Swiss visitors toured the renowned Kamakhya Temple and the Assam State Museum before continuing on to Mayong in the Morigaon district.&nbsp;</p>


<p>Earlier on February 18, the world’s longest river cruise reached Goalpara in Assam &nbsp;and anchored at Kachari Ghat. Earlier in the day, the river cruiser departed from the IWAI Dhubri terminal.</p>
