AGP president Atul Bora asks government to initiate investigation on Golaghat spurious liquor tragedy

Guwahati, February 22, 2019:

Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) president Atul Bora visited the hospital at Golaghat where the victims of drinking spurious liquor have been admitted among which few are critical.

Addressing the media, Atul Bora said, “It is very unfortunate and sad incident. Already 22 people have died drinking the spurious wine that includes both male and female. Many of the people have been admitted in the hospital. We would like to urge the government to initiate a high-level investigation on the incident and take strict action against the people related to this incident.”

“We will also ask the government to pay remuneration to the death’s family and we know that many officials of the administration are involved in such cases so there should action taken against them as well,” he added.
