Following the in incessant rain during the last 48 hours, landslide have been reported in many areas of Guwahati city Assam on Wednesday.
Yet another landslide has been reported near Matiya Ganesh Mandir close to the Rani-Garchuk Road.
Reportedly, one person has been injured and a house has been totally damaged, along with a bike and an e-rickshaw.
Meanwhile, a part of the road at Amiya Nagar near the Holy Child School has been damaged in the aftermath of a landslide.
In another landslide in Bethany Hills of Garchuk, a 56-year-old man identified as Narayan Saha was reportedly killed.

Following these incidents, Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup (M), Biswajit Pegu has issued an order today stating, “All permissions of excavation of land and extraction/blasting of stone within Kamrup (M), if accorded for the execution of various Central and State government projects as well as individuals have been banned with immediate effect.”
it is to be mentioned that due to the incessant rain lashing the entire North-eastern region, the massive flood has been reported from across the state of Assam. Because of the rainwater descending down from the neighbouring areas — Arunachal Pradesh and Bhutan — over 62,000 people have been affected across various districts in the state.
