Assam: Hailakandi DC makes surprise visit to schools

Hailakandi: The Deputy Commissioner, Megh Nidhi Dahal on Saturday made a surprise visit to some schools across the district. 

Accompanied by District Development Commissioner, Ranajeet Kumar Laskar, Deputy Commissioner, Dahal visited Horkishore High School at Lakhisahar, Indrakumari Girls' High School in Hailakandi town and SK Deb High School at Sirishpur and inquired into teachers' attendance, teaching being imparted to the students and some important learning outcomes. 

Dahal underscored the need for holding regular classes, quality education and learning outcomes following the long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation. 

The Deputy Commissioner urged the teachers to be proactive and dedicated while discharging their duties so as to improve the academic results in coming years. Later, he inspected the classrooms and campuses of the schools.
