Assam: National level swimmer dies after being hit by dumper in North Guwahati

In an unfortunate incident, a national level swimmer passed away on February 20 at Guwahati Medical College and Hospital after being hit by a dumper on February 17.

The swimmer identified as Hemanta Das met with a fatal accident on Saturday February 17 after being seriously injured in a head-on collision between a dumper and a Nano car in North Guwahati's Silsako.

Hemanta represented Assam at the national level in several swimming competitions. He was a resident of Rajaduar in North Guwahati.
