Assam Minister of Urban Development and Health, Pijush Hazarika today inaugurated the Out Patient Department (OPD) of the newly built Diphu Medical College.
“I am happy to inaugurate the OPD section of the Diphu Medical College for the general public. People will now be able to access medical facilities from this centre. I believe that with the establishment of this Medical College, we will be able to provide health assistance to the public in a better way,” said Pijush Hazarika.

He added that the first batch of the Medical College will be able to contribute immensely to the health sector of Assam.
Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) CEM Tuliram Ronghang said that the Diphu Medical College will help the students of Dima Hasao and Karbi Anglong areas. “We will start the programme from 2020 onward,” he added.

It may be mentioned here that MLA Numal Momin, Dr. Mnsing Rongpi and many more dignitaries were also present at the inauguration ceremony of the OPD centre of the Diphu Medical College on Wednesday.
