GUWAHATI: The Kokrajhar unit of Assam Police have busted a camp of the newly formed militant group United Liberation for Bodoland (ULB) in the Ultapani area of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) in an early morning operation today.
"Two cadres have been declared dead after an exchange of fire between Police/Security forces and terrorists," Assam special DGP L&O G.P. Singh has informed.

Two pistols ad grenades have also been recovered as per police information.
The goal of this new militant group ULB is to form a separate large state “Bodoland”.
Besides that, the ULB has demanded the immediate release of National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) chief Ranjan Daimary and other jailed cadres and the reinstatement of NDFB members.
