Assam: Real Life 'Munna Bhai MBBS' Arrested in Tamulpur

Tamulapur, July 10, 2019:

A fraud doctor has arrested following wrong treatment in Tamulpur, creating a sensation in the entire region.

The real-life 'Munna Bhai MBBS', Ratan Sengupta, had been providing Ayurvedic treatment in a chamber in the Lotibari Bazaar under the Gandhibari Police for the last three months.

It is to be mentioned that Ratan Sengupta is a resident of Rabindranagar near Siliguri Police Station in West Bengal.

It has been alleged that a few days back, a local lady was being treated by the real-life Munna Bhai MBBS, following which her health condition deteriorated terribly. This later led to the doubts among the local populace about his degree. Without further ado, the locals handed him over to the police.

IC, Manoj Kumar Das revealed that upon interrogation, Ratan said that he had passed his MBBS from the Jadavpur University of West Bengal. However, he could not police any proof of his degree to the police.

A case has been registered under the IPC with case no. 314/19, 419/420/406/276.

The fraud doctor has been taken into custody and is being interrogated.
