ASSAM: SIX ULFA (I) CADRES SURRENDER IN TINSUKIAulfa

A group of six active ULFA (I) Cadres have surrendered before Assam Police today, with sophisticated arms and ammunitions. The ULFA (I) cadres were fed up with the activities of their leaders, like kidnapping of indigenous workers of tea gardens, destroying the tea industry of Assam, the difficulties faced in Myanmar and scant regard of the leaders to resolve their problems. They have founded difficult to make entry into Assam because of sustained presence of security forces along the border.

The six active ULFA (I) were identified as Pranab Gogoi alias Suklang Asom (35) with one grenade , Shri Apurba Moran alias Mridu Asom (24) with one grenade (Chinese) and TNT powder, Shri Satyajit Moran alias Manab Asom (30) with one AK-56 Rifle and three magazine, 100 ammunition, Shri Jishu Doley alias Syang asom (28) with one MQ 81 Rifle alog with three magazine and 123 ammunition, Shri Rituraj Moran alias Durlav Asom (31) , Shri Abhijit Gohain alias Anuj Asom (27) with one HK 33 Rifle and two magazine and 78 ammunition.
